Level 1

விதைப் பருவம் (Seed Phase)

Target Age: 4+ YearsDuration: 32 Classes

Core Focus: Building a solid spoken and auditory foundation in Tamil.

Key Learning Modules:

  • Master vowels (உயிர் எழுத்துகள்) and consonants (மெய் எழுத்துகள்).
  • Daily conversational vocabulary and speech practice (பேச்சு மொழி அறிதல்).
  • Visual story narration and picture comprehension (படம் பார்த்து கதை சொல்லுதல்).
  • Thirukkural couplets and Tamil nursery rhymes (சிறுவர் பாடல்கள்).
Level 2

முளைப்பருவம் (Sprout Phase)

Target Age: 5+ YearsDuration: 48 Classes

Core Focus: Developing reading, writing, and expressive communication.

Key Learning Modules:

  • Reading and writing Tamil script.
  • Traditional word forms (மரபுச் சொற்களை அறிதல்).
  • Thirukkural couplets, classical poems, and moral songs.
  • Storytelling and short stage plays (சிறு மேடை நாடகங்கள்) to boost public speaking confidence.
Level 3

இலைப்பருவம் (Leaf Phase)

Target Age: 6+ YearsDuration: 64 Classes

Core Focus: Advanced vocabulary, introductory grammar, and functional writing.

Key Learning Modules:

  • Grantha letters (வடமொழி எழுத்துகள்) and phonetically similar letters (இன எழுத்துகள்).
  • Introduction to Tamil grammar and avoiding common pronunciation and spelling errors (மயங்கொலி எழுத்துகள்).
  • மொழியோடு விளையாடு.
  • Letter writing (கடிதம்) and essay writing.
  • Stories, Thirukkural, and Tamil literature songs.
Level 4

வளர்பருவம் (Growth Phase — Levels 1 & 2)

Target Age: 11+ YearsDuration: 128 Classes Total (64 Classes per Sub-level)

Core Focus: Linguistic understanding, formal grammar rules, basic literature, writing projects, and drama (மேடை நாடகங்கள்).

Questions about Tamil classes

My child cannot read or write Tamil at all. Can they still join?
Yes! Our Level 1 (விதைப் பருவம்) is specially structured for absolute beginners. We start with fundamental spoken vocabulary, listening skills, and picture-based learning before introducing letter writing.
Will learning Tamil add too much academic stress to my child’s school workload?
Not at all. Our classes use interactive methods like storytelling, songs, tongue twisters, and small stage plays (சிறு மேடை நாடகங்கள்) so children absorb the language naturally without feeling pressured.
How do you measure my child's progress throughout the course?
At the end of every phase, students undergo a friendly assessment and participate in our Young Sprouts Tamil Celebration (இளந்தளிர்களின் தமிழ் கொண்டாட்டம்) event to showcase their skills, receiving a level completion certificate.
